Annotation:

The problem of constraint models is becoming increasingly important in the context of complex modern systems such as business processes, engineering structures, and social organizations. The successful management of these systems requires gaining a clear understanding of their limiting factors, internal relationships, and environmental influences. Models of constraints in the oil industry make it possible to more accurately predict hydrocarbons production volumes and plan measures to improve the efficiency of field development. All constraints set in the model are divided into the following ones: – individual. They can be applied specifically to wells or pipelines in the sites of the collection system and determine the operational mode of the facilities; – grouping. They are used to form the operational modes of groups of wells as well as to set infrastructure constraints that simplify the consideration of the specifics of oil and gas treatment; – dynamic. Restrictions on the annual level of oil and gas production, for example, may vary over time; – stationary. They are set into in the model by constant values, for example, the maximum value of the gas flow velocity at the wellhead. This constraint model allows for the analysis and optimization of processes under constraints. They help to take into account various constraints when making management decisions, identifying bottlenecks affecting hydrocarbon production performance indicators and analyzing the efficiency of using the main types of resources.
