Annotation:
When constructing oil and gas wells, the most important task is preserving the natural permeability of the productive formations penetrated by drilling. The quality of penetration is largely determined by the degree of a reservoir contamination by drilled-out rock particles. Current monitoring of wellbores deepening process parameters using sensors from geological and technological research stations, while providing useful information, does not allow for an accurate assessment of the physical-mechanical state of the productive formation being penetrated by drilling. The experience shows the necessity of applying a different approach for monitoring the correct progress of drilling. The authors of the article present a mathematical model of a technology for monitoring the quality of reservoir formations opening by drilling which requires (for its design implementation) a compact placement of flow rate, density, and fluid level sensors for drilling mud enriched by cutting particles in the borehole chute, and the density sensor of the fluid cleaned of cuttings using a screen-hydraulic cyclone unit in the receiving tank.
