Annotation:

One of the innovative well construction and reconstruction technologies is drilling and casing of highly complex sidetracks according to the TAML classification. It allows for flexibility when selecting design solutions and adaptation equipment to specific geological-technical conditions and customer’s requirements. Accounting for the multi-trip use of milling assembles equipment service companies face the challenge of determining the feasibility of repair and restoration work to continue its use even after a certain level of accumulated damage. The most dangerous damage, sometimes unpredictable, is tools wear or failure due to fatigue defects. The authors of the article present the results of stress-strain modeling of milling assemblies. Equivalent stress calculations are provided. Using the fatigue curve for the equipment material, calculations are performed to determine accumulated fatigue damage. A method for calculating the remaining operational life is proposed, allowing evaluation of the feasibility of continued operation of the equipment at the decision-making stage and minimize the risk of accidents.
