One of the promising areas of geosteering development in the oil and gas industry is the use of azimuth tools for mapping reservoir boundaries. These devices not only allow for reservoir boundary determination but also predict their approach, enabling proactive drilling management. The authors of the article discuss the application of a new-generation azimuth electromagnetic tool (or "boundary mapper") for ultra-deep resistivity logging over 60 m (60 m) and its relevance in the context of the technological challenges of drilling horizontal and directional wells. A comparative analysis with previous-generation instruments is presented, demonstrating the technology's advantages in conditions of geological uncertainty, including the ability to map thin interlayers up to 0,5 m thick. A methodology for data inversion and geosignal interpretation is described. The effectiveness of the new technology in geosteering is demonstrated, significantly increasing the efficiency of productive formation penetration and reducing the risk of exceeding the target limits.
