Annotation:
Currently, one of the key reasons for wells failures and increased costs for capital repairs is corrosion damage of production and pump-compressor columns. In the regions of the North-West Pre-Caucasus (Krasnodar and Stavropol territories), the products contain significant amounts of carbon dioxide, and the depth of productive horizons forms a wide range of temperatures. The most dangerous is the electrochemical mechanism of CO2 corrosion, initiated by the appearance of an aqueous phase in the formation fluid. The objective of this article was a comprehensive comparative study of corrosion processes at the Pribrezhnoye and Mirnenskoye fields, based on the results of gravimetric tests of witness samples. A quantitative determination of corrosion wear actual rate is given by gravimetric analysis of witness samples exposed in the specified wells as part of the production and scientific program for monitoring the corrosion situation of the gas field Managerial Department. It is shown that the combination of an 40–60 g/m³ amidoimidazoline inhibitor and a decrease of flow velocity below 2 m/s can reduce the corrosion rate by more than four times.
