Annotation:
The authors of the article overview the existing modern methods and technological equipment for repairing deep-sea pipelines, outline the main factors influencing the choice of repair method, such as the depth of the pipeline laying and the type of defect being repaired as well as identify the main specific features of the repair technology. Particular attention is paid to the repair of deep-sea pipelines using underwater repair systems without the participation of divers. The approach to repairing a damaged section using various repair systems is discussed, the shortcomings of the technologies used are identified. The concept of a pipeline repair using "Tulpar" domestic underwater repair complex by installing a repair coupling is presented, in which original technological and technical solutions were used, thanks to which the repair of the damaged pipeline is carried out during one cycle of submersible equipment lowering and lifting operations as well as prospects for the development of this technology, including environmental ones, are formulated.
