Annotation:
Ensuring high-quality natural gas purification at compressor stations of trunk gas pipelines, where cyclone dust collectors are widely used, requires flexible control of their operating modes. This is due to significant changes in gas supply through linear and booster compressor stations during operation. Currently, the commercial consumption of natural gas through the compressor station purification system and the pressure drop across the system are used as criteria for regulating the operating modes of purification systems equipped with cyclone dust collectors. The operating points based on these criteria are plotted on the hydrodynamic characteristics of the cyclone dust collectors. The results of surveys of natural gas purification systems at compressor stations show that the hydrodynamic characteristics of cyclone dust collectors change significantly during operation. Thus, the third criteria for regulating the operating modes of cyclone dust collectors should be the actual hydrodynamic characteristics of the types of cyclone dust collectors installed in the compressor station purification system. During the operation of the compressor station purification system it is necessary to periodically inspect and determine the actual hydrodynamic characteristics of the installed dust collectors. The use of the above criteria makes it possible to increase the reliability of gas compressor station energy technology equipment by improving the quality of natural gas purification and reducing energy costs for gas transportation.
