Annotation:

The authors of the article consider the problem of joint simulation of fluid-dynamic and geomechanical processes. The problem statement is based on sensitivity analysis and includes a sector flow simulation model of a highly-viscous oil accumulation with water and polymer injection into a poorly cemented reservoir. The complexity of the flow process is characterized by the reservoir partial destruction during which a suspension of sandstone particles is formed. This process is implemented by means of the flow simulator geomechanical option. The reservoir destruction leads to an increase of its porosity which provokes a permeability change with account for the reservoir pressure increase, i. e. the dilation effect. The separate and combined effect of these factors on a well operation is considered.
