Annotation:
The authors of the article present calculations and the results of using a refined inflow model for high-viscous oil fields, taking into account the non-Newtonian properties of the formation fluid. A rationale for the necessity of taking into account oil viscosity changes during filtration is provided. Based on the calculations performed, potential errors of predicting well performance parameters associated with using viscosity as a constant are demonstrated.
