Annotation:

The authors of the article consider the problems and current trends associated with the necessity of open innovations implementation in the oil and gas industry and present the benefits of their use. The article was prepared as part of the study of the strategy for oil and gas companies transition to open innovation business projects due to the fact that in the realities of the present time, domestic oil producing companies as well as global ones, are focused on the business based on the use of technical innovation experience. The authors of the article noted that the innovation process cannot practically be formalized, remaining extremely unpredictable at all interconnected stages of business processes. In this regard, the authors of the article emphasized the process approach, which is considered the most appropriate for an innovation project when it comes to creating open innovations, in which the uncertainty factor is very high.
