Annotation:
The authors of the article describe the organizational structure of the Egyptian oil and gas industry. The regulatory and legal regulation of the oil and gas industry is considered and its genesis is analyzed. The features of the development of the Egyptian oil and gas industry at the present stage are characterized and the trends of its development for the foreseeable future are outlined. The energy diplomacy of the ARE in the context of its ambitions to become a regional energy hub is analyzed. The emphasis is placed on Russian-Egyptian cooperation in the oil and gas sector and the points of the energy interests’ convergence of the two countries are shown. The organizational and legal prerequisites and conditions for conducting production activities by foreign oil and gas companies in the Egyptian market are considered.
