Annotation:

The authors of the article present a brief analytical overview of the global liquefied natural gas (LNG) industry and its markets in the context of the development of carbon-neutral LNG sales. An increasing number of countries are striving to reduce their carbon footprint, so the focus is on the transition to a zero-carbon energy system currently taking place worldwide. It is noted that the most problematic component of carbon-neutral LNG is obtaining carbon credits to offset emissions, and currently there is no control by the government or an authorized organization to ensure guaranteed carbon savings. Carbon-neutral LNG has aroused great interest among producers and consumers who are facing the problem of solving environmental problems while maintaining the profits of shareholders, which determines the relevance of the study.
