The authors of the article study traditional methods of risks assessment and minimization developed for the manufacturing sector, which are characterized by limited effectiveness in ensuring the full-fledged functioning of business processes in the digital environment. The authors note that at the current stage of active digital transformation, the role of risk management in the manufacturing sector is inevitably increasing. The development of blockchain technologies, the automation of processes and the emergence of new cyber threats significantly change the traditional paradigm of risk management, since the nature and scope of risk factors expand. The introduction of digital platforms using artificial intelligence (AI) technologies and remote customer service channels creates fundamentally new challenges for companies, which require restructuring and improving risk management systems and ensuring their readiness to work in a dynamically changing environment. Most of the existing methods of analysis of management processes based on historical data and linear models do not fully take into account the speed of new types of risks occurrence. Increasingly, in production activities, there appear risks non-complying with standards associated with vulnerability of requirements for IT assets management; operational risks caused by the vulnerability of digital infrastructure and digital transformation processes; reputational risks caused by possible failures of the operation of digital platforms and services; regulatory risks formed due to the dynamic development of the regulatory framework in the field of digital assets. he authors of the article conclude that risk management integration into digital transformation processes presents a particular challenge, as it requires production organizations to reconsider not only their instruments but also their fundamental approaches to risk management, which necessitates the development of new solutions.
