Annotation:

The authors of the article analyze the factors that have a negative impact on the natural environment. Within the last ten years, the world's attention has been focused on the anthropogenic component of climate changes. The key factor of environmental instability at present is anthropogenic activity in the field of traditional energy, which makes a significant contribution to these changes. Russia has natural gas, oil and coal as a source of energy production, herewith the problem of using a low-carbon resource base, applying new technologies for carbon capture and utilization and using alternative energy sources remains relevant. The authors of the article complexly analyzed the positive and negative aspects of traditional energy in order of studying the problem in detail to find an effective strategy for reducing hydrocarbon emissions and other sources of pollution.
