Assessment of balanced economic development of Russian oil and gas regions in conditions of macroeconomic instability

Annotation:

One of the factors actively influencing the level of the national economy development is the availability and cost of natural resources. At the present stage of structural transformations, the dependence of the economic development level on energy resources prices and their availability is significant. The Russian economy has always been characterized by its dependence on raw materials, so the influence of this factor should be taken into account when analysing the level of regional development. There exists an opportunity of building new economic cooperation between individual economic regions based on their mutual relations with companies of the oil and gas industry. The authors of the article analysed the key specific features of individual economic zones development, foreign and domestic experience of joint cooperation to improve the economic efficiency of the country in the whole. The problems typical for individual economic zones and the Russian oil and gas market are considered, taking into account resource constraints. Possible ways of increasing efficiency in the context of their interrelation of competitive advantages are proposed.
