Annotation:
The problem of the efficiency and reliability of measuring systems for operational accounting of oil and oil products in tank farms is an acute problem for a variety of enterprises in the oil and gas industry. To measure the mass of liquid petroleum products in measures of capacity and measures of total capacity, direct and indirect measurement methods are used. For the purposes of planning production cycles (operational accounting, drawing up time schedules, determining the volumes of oil products accepted for storage or sold to consumers, etc.), static methods are widely used at enterprises: volume-weight and hydrostatic. The article analyzes the errors of the hydrostatic method for determining the mass quantity of liquid petroleum products stored in tanks.
