Annotation:

A modification of the branch-and-bound method is proposed for solving the problem of placing a given number of wells in oil and gas deposits. The goal function of the task is the total penalty for the irrational placement of wells in the reservoir and, in fact, is a formalization of the heuristic development rules, proven by many years of practice in the development of oil and gas fields. This allows reducing the number of calls to the hydrodynamic simulator and thereby the time for formation and selection of well spacing options.
