Annotation:

The results of a study of the interaction of calibrating cones of drill bit roller cutters with displaced axes with a well wall in the KOMPAS-3D multifunctional computer-aided design system are presented. The conducted research allowed revealing the causes of uneven wear of the teeth cutting structure of the drill bit roller cutter with the displaced axes of roller cutters rotation relative to the tool rotation axis. Among them is the following: the full extent discrepancy of the cutting structures geometry in the field of transition of the generating line of the main cone of the drill bit roller cutter to the calibrating one; kinematic features of roller-cutters with displaced rotation axes relative to the drilling tool rotation axis. In this regard, the need to improve the geometry of the calibrating the roller-cutter cone has been proved in order to ensure its full contact with the surface of the well wall in order to reduce the uneven wear of the teeth cutting structure of the peripheral rims of the drill bit cutters and increase of the mechanical drilling speed.
