Annotation:

The author of the article considers a combined method for solving problems of automation of building digital geological models. It is based on a combination of the capabilities of an independently composed information system with an objecthierarchical approach (OHA) functionality, developed with the aim of automating digital geological modeling process (GST software). The techniques of expanding the functionality of specialized applications by writing external computing modules and including them in the "workflow" of constructing a geological model are discussed. The possibility of organizing interaction between independent applications based on the GSTAgent information system is discussed as well. A general scheme of the messages exchange between components of the information system is provided, as well as the structure of requests, notifications and responses. The capabilities of GSTAgent in expanding the functionality of the object-hierarchical approach (OHA) and overcoming a number of native limitations of the OHA are demonstrated. The technology described in the article has practical application in the works carried out at the V.I. Shpilman Research and Analytical Center for Rational Use of the Subsoil. On its basis, a permanently operating digital geological-structural model in the territory of the Western Siberia has been created.
