Annotation:

In the oil fields of Western Siberia, most of the production wells are operated by a mechanized way. At the same time, very often complications arise in the operation of wells associated with the formation of hydrates under certain temperature and pressure conditions. It leads to the failure of wells as a result of hydrate plugging of pump pipes and Christmas trees. The paper presents an innovative method for preventing and combating the formation of hydrocarbon gas hydrates at the wellhead. It is proposed to use small-sized exothermic heaters, which allow warming up the sections of the Christmas tree in a few minutes and restoring the working capacity of the well. Pilot tests have confirmed the performance and efficiency of this development at –40 °C. The introduction of these heaters will increase the turnaround time for oil wells.
