APPLICATION OF PLASMA PULSE IMPACT TECHNOLOGY TO INCREASE THE PERMEABILITY OF COKING COALS OF INCREASED HARDNESS AND LOW WATER SATURATION FOR THE PURPOSE OF EARLY DEGASSING

Annotation:

Innovative project of LLC "Georesonance" "Technology and methodology of early degassing of coal seams in order to ensure the safe operation of miners and the extraction of methane on an industrial scale" in 2014 passed an examination, received the state support and was recognized as meeting the requirements of the Federal Law of the Russian Federation of 28.09.2010 No. 244-FZ "On the Skolkovo Innovation Center." Since that time the technology of plasma-pulse impact (PPI) on coal seams has been applied in practice. The PPI technology application increases coal seams permeability due to the creation of micro-fracturing in the radius around wells by no less than 250 m. The results of PPI technology application on coke coals in order to increase the permeability and methane recovery volume during preliminary degassing in "Raspadskaya-Koksovaya" coal mine are presented.
