CABLE ELECTRIC HEATING OF OIL AND GAS WELLS IS A METHOD OF COMBATING PARAFFIN DEPOSITS AND GAS HYDRATES

Annotation:

According to the operating organization, gas hydrates are formed during the operation of well 1307 of the Vyngapurovskoye field, and, taking into account the 5 % mass fraction of paraffins and the low flow rate of the well (7 m3/day), formation of paraffin deposits in the tubing is quite possible. The operational results of a three-core flat heating cable, previously installed on the external surface of the tubing, appeared unsatisfactory due to insufficient heat dissipation power. The paper presents a thermal engineering calculation, the purpose of which is to assess the possibility of protecting well 1307 from the formation of gas hydrates and paraffin deposits by an extended electric heater with a variable heat output power.
