The formation of asphalt-resin-paraffin deposits is one of the most common deposits when producing and transporting oil in the Perm territory (Russia). One of the promising methods of these deposits elimination is the application of smooth coatings made of epoxy polymers on the inner surface of the elevator column of the production well. This paper discusses the results of a number of laboratory studies conducted on the "Cold Rod" installation, during which the effectiveness of smooth coatings use and their thermal conductivity were evaluated. To assess the technological efficiency of these coatings use, the thermal mode simulation of wells operation during their implementation was carried out. The laboratory studies have shown that the efficiency of smooth coatings is 27 %, the thermal conductivity is from 0,259 to 0,279 W/(m•°С). Based on the conducted laboratory studies and modeling, a conclusion is made about the overall effectiveness of the use of the considered smooth epoxy coatings. The introduction of this technology for controlling organic deposits can reduce the intensity of their formation and increase the temperature of oil production.
