The influence of the scale factor on the resistance to corrosion-mechanical destruction of pipe steels under cyclic loading

Annotation:

The article presents the results of tests of full-thickness pipe samples conducted in order to assess the influence of the scale factor on the metal crack resistance under conditions of corrosion-mechanical stress. It was revealed that the corrosive environment effect increases the negative impact on the metal crack resistance of the energy stored in it by the elastic deformation. Moreover, this effect is observed both at the stage of the crack appearance and in the process of its development.
