ANALYSIS OF THE METHODS APPLIED FOR JUSTIFICATION OF THE RESIDUAL OIL SATURATION COEFFICIENT OF OBJECTS WITH HARD-TO-RECOVER OIL RESERVES

Annotation:

According to the "Methodological recommendations on the composition and design rules submitted for state expertise of materials on the feasibility study of oil recovery factors", when determining the residual oil saturation coefficient, graphs of the dependences of the initial oil saturation, residual oil saturation and displacement coefficient on permeability, the residual oil saturation coefficient on the initial oil saturation, the displacement factor from the initial oil saturation or other complex parameters are plotted. However, the proposed approach does not always allow achieving the maximum possible correlation coefficients. The presented work analyzes the results of core experiments on oil displacement performed for the VK1 and VK2-3 formations of the Krasnoleninskoye field, the minimum correlations for the direct and reverse comparison and the averaged version are performed. Estimation of residual oil saturation was carried out by various methods: processing of microprobe data, micro-lateral logging and the Surguchev method.
