Annotation:

The results of studying the organic matter (OM) of the rocks of the Bazhenov Formation using chemical-bituminological methods and the Rock-Eval method revealed the increased content of organic matter in the upper and middle parts of the section of the Formation - Corg. reaches in these parts of the section concentrations of 15...17 %. In the same part of the section, increased values of the residual generation potential are characteristic - 40...50 % mg HC/g of rock, in single samples - 60...70 mg HC/g of rock. The results of the analysis of the group composition of chloroform bitumoids proved the fact that the share of hydrocarbons (saturated and aromatic) in it is about 50 %. The results of the studies performed indicate that the Formation deposits are represented by mature oil source rocks containing kerogen of type II and having high HC-generation potential.
