Annotation:

Hydraulic-geological-chemical monitoring of produced water is an effective tool for determining the sources of production wells watering when solving problems of fields’ development, which makes it possible to supplement the traditional methods. The results of hydraulic-geological-chemical studies are used to assess the reasons for exceeding the planned showings of water-flooding after carrying out geological-technical measures, as well as to analyze the operation of the wells base stock during development in case of uncertainties of the position of the injected water front in the reservoir pressure maintenance system, the initial oil saturation, the level and position of the water-oil contact, crack propagation during hydraulic fracturing. For each potential source of watering, it is possible to identify geochemical signs that characterize the chemical composition of the waters and allow, by analytical comparison, to determine the source of watering of the targeted production well. The characteristic features of waters chemical composition make it possible to diagnose formation waters of target and non-target horizons, injected water and the nature of displacement by the injection front, condensation water, technical fluids used in drilling, killing, and flushing of wells as sources of watering. The obtained results of hydraulic-geological-chemical studies of associated waters are a prerequisite for carrying out detailed field-geophysical studies, regulating the operation of the reservoir pressure maintenance system in the drainage zone of producing wells, stimulating the reservoir using enhanced oil recovery methods, correcting planned geological and technical measures, including production drilling and drilling sidetracks of wells.
