Keywords: the Barents Sea basin, Cenozoic erosion, structural plan, geothermal gradient, vitrinite reflectivity

Annotation:

The article examines the results of the Cenozoic erosion assessment performed by a number of researchers, adjusted in accordance with the results of the erosion assessment in wells, taking into account modern values of porosity and vitrinite reflectance index.

The influence of erosion processes on the change in the phase state of hydrocarbon deposits, the evolution of structural plans and the history of heating of the sedimentary basin are noted.
