Features of predicting complications in the zones of tectonic faults when drilling wells in the fields of the Samara region

Annotation:

The article presents the results of the analysis of wells drilling in the zones of tectonic faults on the uplifts of the Zapadno-Kommunarskoye field. The geological features of wellbore drilling in the zones of tectonic faults and adjacent rock masses in the Lower Frasnian and Givetian stages of the Devonian system have been identified. It is noted that there are no losses of drilling fluid and collapses of disjunctive rock during drilling of the wellbore in the zones of tectonic disturbances. Recommendations are given on the choice of a method for calculating hydraulic fracturing pressures when building an 1D geomechanical model for wells designed near tectonic faults. The research results show that when drilling wells in the zones of tectonic faults and adjacent rock massifs of the Lower Frasnian and Givetian stages of the Devonian system, there is a minimal likelihood of geological complications.
