Annotation:

Russia’s substantial hydrocarbon reserves open up prospects for increased production through the development of fields in Eastern Siberia, the Far East, and the Arctic. Oil and gas field development in these regions is or will be mainly carried out on a rotational basis. The main source of energy for rotational villages is imported diesel fuel, which is characterized by high cost (due to complicated logistics) and carbon footprint, that requires searching for alternative solutions. The article considers engineering solutions for autonomous heat supply using heat pumps, solar collectors and hybrid solar panels, assesses the feasibility and efficiency of their application for energy supply of rotational villages of oil and gas companies. The use of heat pumps seems to be an effective solution when a source of low-potential heat is available, such as non-freezing water bodies, waste heat from technological processes, or when there is a need for thermal stabilization of soils, and thanks to heat pumps, electricity consumption is reduced and there is an opportunity to use waste heat for heating and hot water supply. The article also presents the calculation of diesel fuel savings at the alternative variant of heat supply on the basis of renewable energy sources for a typical rotational village in the Arctic zone, and the assessment of the feasibility and prospects for the use of these solutions for energy supply of villages.
