Ecological toxicity assessment of continuous phase of oil-based drilling fluids by methods of calculation and biotesting

Annotation:

The article presents the assessment of the technological and eco-toxicological properties of oil-based drilling fluids (OBM) and their components. Continuous phases – the basis of OBM and their physical-chemical properties, including eco-toxicity, are considered. On the basis of domestic regulatory documents, the hazard classes and biotesting of various chemical compositions of domestic and foreign samples of continuous phases were calculated. An experimental method for preparing samples of continuous phases before biotesting is proposed. Recommendations are given on biotesting of continuous phases and import substitution for domestic continuous phases due to the fact that they also have IV hazards class.
