Annotation:

The article considers the experience of taking into account the heterogeneity of permeability in the geological-technological model of a large field in the Gulf of Mexico. The object of the study is fractured carbonate reservoirs belonging to the Cretaceous productive complex. Despite putting the field into development, there is a lack of initial information in terms of substantiating the reservoir properties of rocks. The current geological model does not reflect the confirmed fracturing of the considered deposits. In the course of the work performed, the authors of the article proposed an approach to rock differentiation and permeability distribution under conditions of a limited amount of initial geological-physical information. Thanks to the performed multivariate calculations, it became possible to assess the impact of reservoir permeability heterogeneity on the dynamics of forecast development indicators.
