Annotation:

The final stage of most oil fields development, as a rule, is accompanied by high water-flooding. The extracted water growth is associated with additional costs for transportation and preparation of liquid, increased load on ground infrastructure as well as increased work on routine and major repairs of wells. In this regard, when optimizing the development of fields, the methods aimed at limiting water inflow to the well are gaining more and more popularity, the main task of which is to reduce the volume of extracted water. The article considers algorithms for selecting candidate wells to be subjected to repair and insulation, calculations are made by using a hydrodynamic model with the flooded formations shutdown.
