Experience of application of back allocation method using an integrated model

Annotation:

Allocation is an important process in the development of oil and gas fields. The correct allocation of production fluid and production by wells allows assessing the current state of the reservoir/development target and planning geological and technical measures that allow the efficient development of a field. The allocation implementation requires performing constant measurements of production fluid properties, operational characteristics wells and pipeline system. If accurate measurements of all parameters are impossible or economically impractical, then the production can be calculated by the method of back allocation.

The development of an algorithm for calculating the back allocation using an integrated field model will solve the problem of determining the parameters of the production wells operation. The authors of the article described the experience of calculating back allocation in tNavigator software developed by Rock Flow Dynamics Company as well as tested the existing tool of back allocation calculation MultiWell Allocation realized in the IPM RESOLVE software package. The authors have developed and automated an algorithm for calculating the inverse allocation, which satisfies the operating conditions of wells.

The developed algorithm for calculating the back allocation at a field with a mechanized wells fund allows calculating the phase flow rates of wells with account of the total flow rates at the common accounting point. The results can be used to calculate the production of wells, accurate measurements of which are impossible or economically impractical.
