Annotation:

The article presents the experience and results of the development of the Yu. Korchagin oil and gas condensate field with a thin oil rim underlying by bottom water, the development of which is associated with the risk of inter-fluidic contacts displacement due to the breakthrough gas withdrawal from the gas cap and pressure reduction in it with a low compensation of the withdrawals by back injection. At the same time, significant volumes of mobile oil migrate into the gas cap, thus leading to irretrievable losses of recoverable reserves. Based on the analysis of the development, conclusions and recommendations were made, a practically significant approach was identified, concept and necessary conditions for the field development and the water injection into the gas cap were developed. The possibility of balancing the reservoir pressure maintenance system and preventing the negative impact of overcompensation is substantiated.
