Annotation:

The development of technologies for hard-to-recover oil reserves extraction by using thermal methods application is becoming increasingly important in the energy industry. As many conventional oil fields are being depleted, new methods should be introduced to extract previously inaccessible or unprofitable reserves. Thermal methods involve an artificial increase of temperature in the wellbore and bottom zone to reduce the viscosity of oil and, thus, contribute to its greater recovery. Unlike physical-chemical methods, in particular water-gas methods, their application depends to a greater extent on the presence of a heat source. Hot agent injection is one of the main thermal methods currently used by the industry professionals. This strategy envisages heat pumping into the formation by means of heat transfer fluids such as steam or hot water. When considering all the factors associated with assessing the prospects for successful extraction of previously inaccessible resources through the use of thermal methods, it is necessary to take into account the economic component. The article presents the results of thermal impact for the conditions of the C3 reservoir of the Krasnoyarsk field.
