Annotation:

The article considers the experience of uncertainties analyzing and accounting in the field of geology and the development of one of the fields in the Middle East. The object under study is a lithologically screened oil reservoir composed by carbonate deposits and containing several facies zones (reef, rear plume and lagoon), which differ significantly in reservoir properties, but are a single hydro-dynamically connected development object. There observed a low elastic reserve of the deposit. According to the results of hydrodynamic studies in the drilled exploratory wells, a change in productive characteristics is observed not only between the identified facies zones, but also within them. In the course of the work performed, a group of experts assessed all possible risks and uncertainties of the field at the end of the exploration stage, which made it possible to create pessimistic and optimistic geological and hydrodynamic models. Thanks to the work carried out, the effect of oil production on possible project risks in the field of development was estimated. The results of the work were submitted for consideration when designing the development system and the economic efficiency of the company’s project.
