Annotation:

The article presents a theoretical study of the initial stages of low-temperature oil oxidation. The sequence of chemical reactions, including short-lived hydroperoxides and free radicals, is considered. Based on the results of experimental observations, the most important reactions that control the early stages of the oil oxidation process in the reservoir have been determined. The system of differential equations is solved analytically for the concentration of hydroperoxides in case of an excess of oxygen and fuel, assuming that the initial concentrations of the components change little over the considered time interval. The time dependence of the formation and decomposition of hydroperoxides, the absorption of oil and oxygen is considered. Characteristic dependences of hydroperoxide concentration on time are obtained, which describe spontaneous combustion of oil in the reservoir and low-temperature oxidation. The results presented are in good agreement with the experimental dependences obtained during numerous studies on oil oxidation.
