The content of trace elements in the formation waters for the technical water supply of the reservoir pressure maintenance system of the oil fields in the Samara region

Annotation:

In 2022, as part of the research program on the geological exploration of aquifers and subsequent estimation of underground water reserves for the technical water supply of the reservoir pressure maintenance system of oil fields (water of special purpose), samples of formation water were collected from 40 wells of 24 deposits in the Samara Region. The content of 75 trace elements in each sample was analyzed using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) method. Based on the obtained data analyses, trace elements and industrial concentrations of trace elements present in the underground waters were identified. The new laboratory research data revealed new patterns in the content of trace elements in relation to the macro-component composition. Using the new data on macro-component composition and the newly identified patterns, the content of vanadium in the waters of the Samara Region deposits was predicted.
