A study caused by the necessity of improving the accuracy of oil production process modeling, namely, the fluid temperature distribution of along the wellbore was carried out. The correct temperature distribution allows evaluating and taking into account the fluid properties change during its ascending along the production string and gradual cooling. One of the most important applications of tubing temperature distribution data is the ability to accurately assess wax formation, since all major modeling techniques of this process assume temperature as the main factor of influence. The analysis of heat transfer laws and the well design made it possible to develop an iterative algorithm for calculating the temperature in the well. The essence of the algorithm lies in the continuous refinement of the temperature value by taking into account the calculation data of the previous section. The above-mentioned calculation is performed simultaneously with the pressure calculation, which allows correct setting the parameters of the moving fluid.

When comparing the calculated and actual data on the temperature distribution along the length of the well it was revealed that for eight oil wells the average absolute deviation was 9,76 %. The application of two other methods showed the averaged deviation of 16,71 and 12,77 correspondingly. The developed algorithm application increases the accuracy of oil production processes modeling, in particular, the properties of the fluid. Comparison with other authors approaches to the temperature calculation proved the fact that the presented technique allows obtaining the temperature values more close to the real ones. An important condition of the technique application is the refinement of the spatial distribution of paraffin deposits, which will optimize the cost of combating these deposits formation. The use of the proposed technique is a part of the trend towards oil fields digitalization, which implies the possibility of mathematical calculation of all parameters of oil production and transportation.
