Annotation:
The paper discusses reference and regulatory information used in the technological preparation of production, methods of information generation, its storage and further use when designing technological processes (TP) of mechanical processing. The use of storage systems for reference and regulatory information when using computer-aided design (CAD) systems leads to a decrease in the productivity of TP design due to the impossibility of taking into account the needs of the end user by CAD developers. The paper provides practical experience in the implementation of this task by means available to the user of the TP design system, without special knowledge of programming and working with database management systems. A special system interface has been developed to describe the necessary information and approaches to automate the design processes of TP of mechanical processing.
