The efficiency of geological exploration determines the possibility of timely decision-making on the volume of investments and the timing of oil and gas fields' development and monitoring of man-made threats occurrence during fields operation reduces the risk of their appearance and the amount of costs when localizing the scope of work and eliminating the aftereffects. The paper provides an overview of the existing and promising global technologies which are applied for conducting seismic exploration and industrial monitoring of subsea and offshore fields. The technologies which are applied for vessels towing bottom cables of various types, as well as the possibilities of electronic systems placed on the seabed are briefly described. Brief description of the main factors and objects that ensure the implementation of an innovative project is given on the example of seismic exploration as the main type of technologies for clarifying the amount of reserves, the possibility of determining the points of drilling and construction of wells, monitoring of the safety of field infrastructure facilities and forecasting of risks. The current state of various technologies for the exploration of reserves at sea and on land is considered, the features of the use of specialized vessels for various purposes available on the domestic and foreign market are described. Promising domestic seismic exploration technologies are described. The adoption of the Concept of the development of mineral resources of sea and offshore, onshore deposits with the help of the same type of domestic systems, allows ensuring strategic national interests, especially for promising offshore zones of the northern seas and the Arctic, coastal territories. The existing domestic competencies and promising equipment provides fundamental solution of the problem of national competencies development and ensures technological leadership of some technologies trends applied for exploration of natural resources in the sea and on land, replacement of foreign solutions that dominate today in the market of exploration, monitoring and industrial operation of oil and gas fields.
