Analysis of the relationship of the safety culture level with an employee’s social-biographical characteristics using mathematical statistics methods

Annotation:

The formation of a safety culture high level is one of the most urgent and modern problems of the oil and gas complex, since most accidents occur due to the human factor. The article studies the level of safety culture at gas transportation enterprises. The 16 most important components of safety culture have been identified. A questionnaire is shown that allows identifying the average assessment of each component by employees. Using correlation analysis, the existence of a relationship between the level of an employee’s safety culture and his social-biographical characteristics was established. The regression analysis helped to get a regression equation, which makes it possible to establish a preliminary level of an employee's safety culture based on his social-biographical characteristics. The adequacy of the obtained model is prooved.
