Annotation:

Gas transportation systems (GTS) of the Russian Federation are of strategic importance for social and economic development of the country, including fuel and energy complex balanced development and national energy security. PJSC Gazprom's gas transportation systems provide natural gas supplies from gas production centers to most regions of the Russian Federation as well as for export to countries near and far abroad. GTS operated by JSC "ALROSA-Gaz" and JSC "Sakhatransneftegaz" have only regional significance and provide for gas supply of consumers in the Sakha Republic (Yakutia). The article discusses the features of the development of PJSC Gazprom gas transportation systems in modern conditions, analyzes the main factors influencing its development and emphasizes the importance of mathematical and computer modeling in medium and long-term planning. The proposed approach can also be used to develop GTS of independent gas suppliers.
