Annotation:

The authors of the article describe a complex method that is applied for a multi-scale reservoir model parameter identification, which makes it possible the history matching of both stably operating wells and wells with unstable behavior of technological indicators, characterized by the presence of operating modes changes, periodic shutdowns or geological-technical measures. Adaptation is carried out by a two-stage model adjustment for each scale. In order to adapt the model to the far-field scale, the BFGS – local optimization algorithm is used. For wells of the first type, the model is adjusted on the scale of the near-well zone taking into account the best coincidence of calculated and actual parameters in the last period of history in order to ensure a reliable transition to the forecast. For wells of the second type, an algorithm for multi-step history matching has been developed, based on the ideas of the dynamic programming method. Both approaches use a heuristic very-fast simulated annealing algorithm followed by refinement of the found solution using the BFGS local optimization method. The methodology was tested on real data from one of the fields. The reliability and quality of the results obtained confirm the efficiency of the method and its practical suitability.
