Annotation:

Currently, to take into account the mass and volume of liquid in a flow, mass and liquid volumetric flow rates, measuring instruments are being increasingly used that transmit information only via a digital channel. The existing methods of synchronizing instruments for measuring flow and quantity of liquid with a standard was comparatively analyzed when determining metrological characteristics. The existing methods of synchronizing instruments for measuring flow and quantity of liquid with a standard via a digital channel are considered. The main problems that arise when synchronizing instruments for measuring flow and quantity of liquid with a standard when determining metrological characteristics are identified. The error that can occur during the transmission of information introduced by the synchronization of flow and liquid amount measuring instruments with a standard via a digital channel and the error caused by the reading time error were assessed. Experimental studies have been carried out to confirm the additional error that arises in the process of synchronizing instruments for measuring flow and quantity of liquid with a standard when determining metrological characteristics in the process of testing, verification and measuring instruments calibration.
