Control points determination to ensure monitoring of gas collection and transportation system operation

Annotation:
Gas collection and transportation systems monitoring is a complex process that involves a number of procedures that maintain the systems functionality. Due to the differences of the tasks facing monitoring of collection systems, all elements of the gas pipeline are divided into main components. Monitoring of all elements of a gas pipeline system functioning requires sensors that provide collection of information for its further interpretation by special information systems. In order to cover all the necessary elements of the system, a DFD diagram has been developed that characterizes the components interaction of a gas pipeline system, including that one when dividing into sections. Then the parameters characterizing the components of the pipeline system sections are determined and their mathematical interpretation is given. Next, using a hypothetical example of a two-section pipeline system, the definition of control points and the composition of sensors is shown.
