Annotation:
Standard metal grading tanks are intended for precise measurement, transfer and storage of liquid volumes with an error of ±0,01…±0,1 %. Their wide application in industry is caused by strict compliance with metrological standards, which guarantee reliability and stability of measurements. Today, the majority of measuring devices of the approved type are verified in accordance with GOST 8.400-2013, however, this standard raises a number of questions and requires revision. The authors of the article provide an analytical review of existing technical requirements to measuring devices. The results of the study allow proposinge key recommendations for their design, production and operation, which is relevant in the context of a possible revision of GOST 8.400-2013. It will help maintaining high standards of accuracy and reliability of these devices. Special attention is paid to the problem of parallax – a critical factor affecting the accuracy of measuring device readings, especially with minimum permissible errors. Methods for eliminating parallax are considered as well as their effectiveness in increasing the accuracy of measurements and the stability of devices both during verification and in real operational conditions.
