Annotation:

The paper discusses the use of an expert system application based on fuzzy logic (Fuzzy Logic Designer), to eliminate the uncertainties that occur in practice during the use of jack-up rigs (Jack-up Floating Rig) in offshore structures. The relevance of the study is associated with the need to search for new approaches to assessing the results of geotechnical studies when preparing floating drilling rigs for mobilization to the project area. This direction is the most important for reducing the expected risks when making a decision during the installation of the jack-up rig at the design point. The purpose of the study is to analyze the existing approaches and find the most optimal methods for solving problems associated with reducing uncertainties in assessing the suitability of a drilling rig. Fuzzy logic theory, expert judgment, software, MATLAB application, evaluation and analysis of input parameters and final output parameter are used as a method for solving the problem. The theory of fuzzy logic, as shown by the results of the analysis, carried out in the paper, can be one of the methods to reduce the risks of incidents associated with the failure of the jack-up floating drilling rig support. Recently, experts are increasingly using this theory to solve various problems in the oil and gas industry, including when drilling wells. Using this approach, it was possible to obtain positive results corresponding to expert assessments.
