Annotation:

It is known that the exact analytical solutions to the problem of the stress-strain state of a drill string while drilling in the water area, taking into account its own weight under the conditions of kinematic effects, are associated with significant mathematical problems and are very inconvenient in practical application. The classical approach to the calculation of a drill string for dislocation and lateral force actions is, firstly, demonstrated in the paper, which, within the framework of the adopted model, gives an absolutely accurate result. Secondly, an original approximate method for solving the problem with allowance for vertical actions is presented, based on a natural assumption, which greatly simplifies the procedure for obtaining an analytical solution and does not introduce significant distortions into the results. The proposed calculation method is very convenient for practical implementation when designing these objects.
